
The Om ZoneTM : Yoga for Teens and 'Tweens
We believe that every girl has beauty bursting inside of her, filling every corner and curve of her inner self. Beauty is more than just a pretty face; beauty is having confidence, being honest, accepting yourself, and having compassion for others. Yoga is an excellent tool for teaching these lessons. This class offers a fun, non-competitive space for "tween" and teen girls in which to reconnect with their own inner selves.
Through the use of postures that create strength and flexibility as well as breathing exercises that help to induce calm and reduce stress, participants will learn the core elements of a healthy lifestyle practice that will help them cope with the stressors associated with this critical developmental stage.
Each session will be one hour and 15 minutes in length. The active portion of the session will be one hour, with the remaining fifteen minutes of "open forum" which will allow time for participants to reflect on their experiences and/or ask questions.
Please bring your own mat if you have one and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Moms and Dads are welcome to join !
